So you’ve spent tons of hours building your business. Late nights doing everything, and now you’re actually making money.
Awesome! Congratulations.
But somehow you’re still working your nights and weekends away.
You’re spending all of your time working on running your business instead of growing it.
You’re overwhelmed, and most likely stressed—always chasing that “work whenever I want” lifestyle that’s so popular, but feeling like you’re just working 24/7 just to stay afloat.
Maybe you’ve heard the advice somewhere along the way that you should hire an Online Business Manager (OBM).
And you might be wondering if it’s time for YOU to hire an OBM. What is an OBM? Check out our previous blog to find out more about what an OBM is.
Now, hiring any team member takes thoughtful consideration. But, in general, here are 5 reasons why you should consider hiring an OBM:
1. You Find Yourself Working Nonstop
Do you spend more time working on the day-to-day tasks of your business rather than planning out your vision and strategy for your future? Maybe you jump from task to task, without any time to really think or plan ahead. And free time outside of work—what even IS that?
An OBM can take over those day-to-day operations, freeing you up to be the CEO that you want to be. An OBM will help you manage your business, your team, and keep you all focused on the important goals that you’ve set!
2. You need streamlined, efficient processes - but you aren't sure where to start.
Standard Operating Procedures keep your business running in an organized fashion and an OBM could be in charge of, or involved in creating and setting up SOPs, if you don’t already have them. If you already do have them, an OBM can help streamline and/or automate them them so that they work better for you and your business.
3. You Need Help Putting Systems in Place
When you started your business the talk of streamlining, organizing, and automating wasn’t part of your initial business plan. In fact, talking about those kinds of things may even make you cringe. Maybe you have some systems, are introducing new ones, or don't have much in place. No worries—that’s exactly where an OBM shines! We love the management aspect of keeping your business not only organized, but moving forward. Organizing and managing all the moving parts and pieces, and therefore freeing up your time is something that we excel in. That way, you have the ability to focus on the part of the business you love!
4. You Have Goals and a Vision,, but no roadmap to get there.
You have a clear vision of where you want your business to be within the next year or two, you just need help paving the way to get there. That is where an OBM comes in. Your OBM acts as a partner with you to take your vision and add the action steps needed to make it a reality. If you don’t have clear goals, working with an OBM might be a little challenging. You need to have a clear vision as to where you are going if you want an OBM to help you get to your destination. But don't worry, your OBM will help you create a roadmap to help you get there.
5. You Need Help Managing Your Team, but don't want to hire a full-time Manager
An OBM will be your second in command. We can also serve as an accountability partner. Through mutual respect and understanding we can bounce ideas off of one another, be your sounding board and hold each other accountable, making way for a more successful outcome.
With an OBM, we will delegate work out to your team, as necessary, and then oversee it to make sure it gets done right. Your OBM will learn each of your team member’s strengths, and therefore, will be equipped to decide who the right candidate is for various tasks. Coaching your team along the way, we will drive your business forward and accomplish your goals.
If any of the above resonates with you and where you are in your business, give us a call so we can help you get organized, accomplish your goals and give you back your time!
